Steel drum music is a gracious and vibrant sound, which enlightens your audible senses with delight.

Mello, a native of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands has played the steel drum since the age of eight in a variety of venues. Whether a private party or a public event, his diverse repertoire and versatility keep him in demand for performances. His style reflects the flavor of the Caribbean, keeping his clientele fascinated and wanting to come back for more. His main selections of music consist of Calypso, Reggae, Soft Rock, and R&B. Some of his best musical selections include, but are not limited to songs such as: "Margaritaville", "Red Red Wine", "Breezin" and "I Shot The Sherriff." Local venues where he has performed include The Don Ceasar Hotel, The Florida Aquarium, several 5 Star Cruise liners, former Tampa Mayor Dick Greco and former General Tommy Franks at Macdill Air Force Base, and local charity events for the sick and underprivileged. Also, he recently received a second place prize in the '06 Tampa Bay Idol Competition.

Mello has performed with such bands as Pan Connection Steel Symphony, Ken "Professor" Philmore (well known throughout the Caribbean, Canada and Europe), Panist Michael Belgrave, and T-Time Carnival Experience. Performing with various artists has given him the exposure and inspiration to play abroad and to create Mello Vibes Entertainment. He also has an exquisite selection of musicians that accompany his steel drum to make up his three piece band if needed.
